Makeup brand L'Oreal is teaming up with Facebook to bring virtual testing to shoppers! In this day in age, it is so important to keep up with advances in technology, and the makeup industry is certainly not lagging behind.
In March L'Oreal had bought ModiFace, a Canadian augmented reality and artificial intelligence company. They have been developing augmented reality experiences for L'Oreal's various brands such as Urban Decay and Lancom. The use of such technology will help drive online sales and leverage social media networks. The technology is said to eventually roll out onto Instagram.
